Maria Hatzianastassiou is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2015) from the Department of Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology with a specialization in Psychology. She is also a certified psychotherapist by the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP-ECP) in the Existential Approach, having completed her four-year training at the Hellenic Society of Existential Psychology “Gignesthai” (2015-2019).

She is trained as a couples therapist in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) through the Greek EFT Network (2020-2021). She also completed a two-year postgraduate program in Sexology titled “Psychosexual Disorders: Diagnosis and Therapy,” organized by the University Mental Health Research Institute (UMHRI) and Aiginiteio Hospital (2019-2021). Additionally, she participated in the annual postgraduate seminar “Clinical Psychopathology – Panagiotis Oulis,” organized by the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens at Aiginiteio Hospital and the UMHRI (2017).

She has been working as a psychotherapist for the past seven years, maintaining a private practice in Holargos, Athens, offering individual and couples therapy. She has always been driven by a deep passion for the things she loves, and her journey in EFT continues to unfold with enthusiasm and commitment. Life itself, after all, is an ongoing journey, always “on the way.”
